1CommissionerDepartment Director — Runs the entire department. Makes final decisions on policies, promotions, and major issues. Steps in only for high-level situations.

2Deputy CommissionerDirector of Operations Bureau (OB) — Oversees all policing activity. Controls Patrol and Special Operations. Sets enforcement priorities and approves major operations.

3Assistant CommissionerDirector of Professional Standards Bureau (PSB) — Oversees training, recruitment, and internal affairs. Handles discipline, complaints, and overall officer standards.

4MajorDirector of Patrol Operations — Manages patrol day-to-day. Works with sergeants, checks activity, and helps keep patrol organized. Director of Special Operations — Manages subdivisions day-to-day. Handles applications, tracks activity, and organizes trainings. Director of Internal Affairs — Handles actual investigations. Interviews officers, reviews reports, and builds cases. Director of Training & Recruitment — Handles training sessions, recruit progress, and helps develop officers.

5CaptainDeputy Director of Patrol Operations — Oversees patrol performance. Makes sure officers are active, reports are done properly, and supervisors are doing their job. Deputy Director of Special Operations — Oversees all subdivisions (SWAT, K9, GTF, Air One, HEAT, Motor). Controls who gets in and how units are used. Deputy Director of Internal Affairs — Oversees investigations into officers. Reviews complaints and use-of-force cases. Deputy Director of Training & Recruitment — Runs the academy and hiring process. Sets training standards and ensures new officers are prepared.

6LieutenantDivision Supervisor — Oversees entire shifts or divisions. Responsible for major decisions, supervisor oversight, and ensuring operations run smoothly across the department.

7Staff SergeantSenior Supervisor — Oversees multiple sergeants and assists with shift management. Handles more serious issues, supports training, and ensures overall patrol quality.

8SergeantFirst-Line Supervisor — Directly supervises officers on shift. Reviews reports, manages scenes, handles minor discipline, and ensures officers follow policy.

9Senior CorporalLead Officer — Highly experienced officer who takes informal leadership on scenes, mentors officers, and supports supervisors with organization and quality control.

10CorporalSenior Officer — Experienced officer who assists newer officers and helps guide scenes when no supervisor is present. Acts as a bridge between officers and supervisors.

11LEO IIExperienced Police Officer — More experienced officer who consistently handles calls confidently, produces strong reports, and demonstrates good decision-making. Expected to assist newer officers, take initiative on scenes when needed, and maintain a higher standard of performance.

12LEO IPolice Officer — Entry-level officer who has completed training and operates independently on patrol. Responsible for handling calls, conducting traffic stops, and writing basic reports while continuing to develop experience and confidence on the job.
